HTC Thunderbolt

The HTC Thunderbolt is the first LTE 4G phone to come out on Verizon Wireless. I would like to buy it when it comes out, but no body know when it will come out and how much it will cost. They keep postponing the date for the release of it.
I'm hoping that I will have enough money to be able to buy it the day it comes out. If I do I'll try to write a review on the phone.

Thinking about blogging more often again

So I found an Android app for Blogger and I may try to blog about my everyday life from it.
This may be difficult at first, but once I get used to it hopefully it will be a daily thing.

I'm in love

I am now engaged to the most amazing girl in the world! Kelsey Faye Coleman!
We will probably get married during the summer of 2012, that is if everything goes as planned in our lives right now. I can't wait to marry her, that will be one of the greatest days of my life.
She will make a great mother to our children when we settle down somewhere after we get married and both get steady jobs. I can't wait until we have children. That will be another great day of my life!
Kelsey means so much to me. I think we are meant to be together, because there are so many things that could have kept us from even meeting each other and even if I had an option to go back and change my mistakes in my life I do think I would change anything because I might mess up getting to meet my one true love. We think so much alike and we like a lot of the same things, it just seems like God made both of us for each other.
I believe that God has planned for us to be together ever since he first made us. He has good plans for us to be together forever. Right now we may not be able to understand most of the things he has planned, but one day we will understand all the things he has put us through just to be together.
I hope she reads this and knows how much she means to me. Without her I would be nothing. And I hope she understands that all the things God has put us through to be together will all be worth it when we get married and settle down and have children. As long as we put God first in everything we do, especially our relationship.
I love you with all my heart Kelsey! I'm so glad I get to spend the rest of my life with you, you're so amazing, sweet, beautiful, and smart!

Life has changed a bunch!

For starters I am now working at Wal-mart as an overnight Maintenance Associate. So that means I work for 10 pm to 7 am 5 days a week, it is a fairly easy job, but it can be hard staying up all night sometimes.

The next good thing that has changed in my life is I have an amazing new girlfriend, her name is Kelsey Coleman. I love her so much!! Here is a picture of her and me.

I also have yet another new car, this time it isn't because I wrecked a car, it is just because I felt like getting another car. This car is a 2003 Ford ZX2. It is 5 speed manual transmisson and has a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine. It is a quick little car.

As for my choice in a smartphone that has also changed. I now use mostly Android devices, I had the Google Nexus One for about 2 months, but had to sell it because I had lost my job. I also had the Apple iPhoen 3G for about 2 months, but I figured out that the iPhone makes a good ipod and not a good phone, so I got an iPod Touch instead. I am now about to switch to Verizon Wireless to get the Motorola Droid X. I will more than likely try to write a review for it on here since I haven't written a review on here in about 8 months.

Also I'm going to try my best to start blogging more often, or better yet I might try to start Vlogging when I get the Droid X or maybe get an HD video camera.

As alway thanks for reading my blog and sorry I haven't updated in forever.

Nokia N97 review

First off I would like to thank Womworld Nokia for loaning this device to me for the past couple of weeks. I have really enjoyed using the Nokia N97 for the most part.

Hardware
-Build QualityThe build quality of the N97 is good, the slider mechanism for the keyboard seems very sturdy and seems like it should be able to take a lot of use and abuse. The phone has a mostly plastic body, other than the metal looking border around the front of the device. It has a very nice feel in the hand and it seems like it should be able to handle everyday use.-Keyboard
The keyboard takes a little bit of getting used to with the space bar being offset to the right side. It took me a couple of days for me to get used to using the keyboard. There isn't a lot of feedback from the keyboard itself, it is hard to tell if you've actually pressed the key on the keyboard or not. You can tell that you are touching a key, but when you go to press the key it feels like you are barely pressing it and it will put a character on the screen.- Camera
The camera on this device is really good. It has a 5 Megapixel sensor with a Carl Zeiss lens, and it can record VGA quality videos at 30 frames per second. I found that the camera took very good quality pictures. Here are a couple of examples of the quality of the pictures and the videos.
-Memory
The storage memory on the N97 is more than enough with 32 GB and a microSD card slot. I had no problem with loading all my music, pictures, and a few videos on the device. The RAM on the device seemed to be very limited as I had the problem of not enough memory way too many times, and most of those times I only had a few programs running, such as the music player and web browser. It is really annoying when you are trying to surf the web and next thing you know it just automatically stops the web browser and says not enough memory. This is one of the most important problems that I found with the N97.
- FM Transmitter
One of my favorite things about this device would have to be the FM transmitter built in. It made listening to music in my car so much easier, my car doesn't have a CD player or even a Cassette tape player, just an FM radio. All I had to do was find the song I wanted to listen to on the N97, tune my radio to a good station, and turn on the FM transmitter. Depending on the station I put the transmitter on, it was pretty good quality audio.
-Speakers
The speakers on the N97 are good for listening to music, they are fairly loud and are very clear. There are 2 speakers on the device for stereo speaker quality, they are both on the left hand side of the device and it makes it so that when you are watching a video on the device the speakers will be facing you.
-Phone
Just like you would expect from a Nokia cellphone, the call quality of the Nokia N97 is very good. Everyone that I talked to using the device said that they could hear me well and the quality was clear.

Software
- Symbian 60 5th edition
The Symbian OS has been around for along time now and this is the first attempt at a touch screen version. It is fairly finger friendly, but the are so many bugs still in the user interface. The widgets that are on the home screen are really nice to have, but some of the times there were a lot of errors with them. The Facebook and weather widget would sometimes try to load and then say there is a script error. Overall the interface itself seems to resemble S60 3rd edition, but with bigger buttons on the screen to make them easy to touch. At first it seems like a good touch screen attempt by Nokia, but it is really got to were it is just the same old S60 that we are used to with a touch enabled interface. Some of the time I had problems with the interface being very slow at responding and sometimes it would even freeze and I would have to restart the device.
- Music player
The music player on the N97 is good, as usual on any Nokia N series device. It has a built in equalizer that works very well, it has 6 different preset settings, default, Bass booster, Classical, Jazz, Pop, and Rock.
- Web Browser
The web browser on the device is another strong point. It supports flash so I can watch Youtube videos right in the browser instead of a different app. Browsing the internet on the N97 is really good with a 3.5 inch screen. Using WiFi on the device makes the internet fairly quick and easy to load any website, whether it be the mobile version or the desktop version.
- The Ovi Store
The Ovi store on the N97 makes it so much easier to find the applications, themes, videos, and games that I might want or need on the device. There are a fair amount of useful applications that you can get for the N97. I was able to find most of the things that I needed to make the device work good for me.
-Maps and GPS
As you probably already know this device has a GPS receiver inside of it. The GPS seems the work really good. I used 2 different maps software, Ovi maps and Google maps. I haven't really had a chance to test out the navigation on Ovi maps, but it does do really good at finding my location on the map.

Final conclusion
I really enjoyed using this device for two weeks as my primary phone. but I have to say that it isn't really something for me. I like it, but not being able to have a few apps running at one time makes it hard for me to use it like I normally would. Especially considering the fact that my E71x can run the programs I need to run without crashing anything. If you are looking for a device that is excellent for multimedia, messaging, and web browser here and there, this it a good device for it, but if you want something that won't run out of RAM on you, I wouldn't recommend this phone. I would have to give it about a 7 out of 10 if I were rating it.

As always, thanks for reading and God bless!

Nokia Display Speakerphone HF-510 review

Along with the Nokia N97 that I received from Womworld Nokia was a bluetooth car kit speakerphone. I had never had the chance to use a car speakerphone, but this makes me want to go out and buy one for myself.
The speaker quality itself was very good, but it could have been louder. Sometimes I found myself having to lean closer to the speaker in order to hear the person, but that is mostly due to the fact that my car is a little on the loud side while driving.
The microphone on the device seemed to work good, everyone that I talked to using the device said that they could hear me loud and clear. I only had one friend say something about not being able to hear me good, but they just had the volume on their phone turned down.
I really like that I can sync my contacts onto the bluetooth device and use it to find the person that I need to call. It makes it so much easier than trying to dig my phone out of my pocket, look up the contact, and then call then person.
This device helps out so much with driving and talking on the phone. Since my car has a manual transmission it makes it difficult to drive, shift, and hold a cellphone in my hand. Overall I must say that the HF-510 is a very useful device for my everyday life, it helped out so much while driving and talking to people. If someone is wanting to buy a bluetooth speaker for their car that has a display on it, I would defiantly recommend it.

Nokia N97 first Impressions

Two days ago I received a Nokia N97 from Wom World Nokia. I have been using the phone as my primary phone for the past couple of days. So far I am enjoying using it. I really like the way that the keyboard slides up at an angle, and that it doesn't take a lot of effort to slide the keyboard open to use it. I do have to admit that the keyboard does take a bit to get used to having the keyboard offset to the right hand side of the device, but after about a day of use it seems like it is very comfortable to use it like that. Web browsing on the device is quite nice when you have the keyboard open.
One of my favorite things about this device would have to be the multimedia functions that it has. With the 32 GB of storage that is more than enough to store all my music, pictures, and videos. Also the fact that there is an FM transmitter built into the device, it make it really easy for me to listen to music in my car because I don't have a CD player or a cassette tape player to listen to anything, I have to use the radio to to listen to any music in my car.
Here in about a week I will post my full review of the device on here and I will hopefully be able to make a video to put on Youtube of me review the device. Also I will try to make a video with the phone that I can put on Youtube so that everyone can see the video quality of the phone.

Thank you very much for reading,
Drew Adkins

Womworld Nokia N97 and Bluetooth HF-510 in Car Speaker 2 week Trial!

Well, I received an email from a woman at Womworld Nokia about being able to have a 2 week trail with a Nokia N97 and a HF-510 in car bluetooth speaker. This should be really cool. I've never had a chance to trial any type of cellphone, but I will hopefully have a good amount of time to test the phone and the speaker in my everyday life and tell the world about it. I know I will be able to test the phone during my time going back to school starting a new semester, that will make it to where I can test it as a student.

Thank you Womworld!!
